SALAMANCA — Arthur G. Storey, 90, of Salamanca, passed away Friday (May 26, 2017) in Rochester. He was born Oct. 1, 1926, in Gerry, a son of the late Glenn and Mildred Pangborn Storey. On Aug. 14, 1948, he married the former Agatha Harrington, who survives. Mr. Storey was a WWII veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a signalman at Conrail Railroad and was a self-employed auto mechanic. He was a member of the Salamanca American Legion and Salamanca VFW. He loved baseball and NASCAR. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. Besides his loving wife of 68 years, he is survived by two daughters, Rita (Robert) Harper of Rochester and Ann (Pete) Poole of Little Valley; six grandchildren, Bob, Jim, tom, Laura, John and Jenny; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. Also surviving are two sisters, Mildred Quattrone of Salamanca and Joanne Carnes of Kill Buck; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Duane, Howard and Ronald Storey; and two grandsons, Brian and Jeff Paschen. Friends may call on Thursday (June 1, 2017) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 411 Rock City St., Little Valley. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Little Valley Rural Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Little Valley Holiday Cheer.
